Kishor works as a Programme Officer at Asar, focusing on climate action at the grassroot level. His primary work involves engaging with diverse stakeholders ranging from grassroots communities to government officials on localised climate action planning, grounding those efforts in science, inclusion, and policy.

Before joining Asar, he worked with World Resources Institute (WRI) India on the transition of Maharashtra’s automotive sector towards electric mobility. He engaged closely with MSMEs, government officials, and industry stakeholders, and contributed to research on climate finance, policy, and behavioural nudges. He has a background in petrochemical engineering (Dr. BAT University, Raigad) and public policy (IIT, Tirupati), and works to understand how energy systems are changing and how transitions can be made fairer and more practical. He enjoys working at the intersection of research and on-ground action, especially in spaces that bring different stakeholders together and in purpose.

Outside of work, Kishor enjoys playing football and spending time in nature. He is deeply interested in behavioural public policy and neuroscience and is curious about understanding how the brain influences the way we think, act, and make decisions.
