Sustainable Mobility
We envision a transportation system that is equitable and environmentally sound, while also promoting social justice and economic viability and ensuring access for all. One of our key areas of focus is to transition last-mile delivery and cab hailing services to electric in a time-bound manner. We play the role of a backbone organisation to convene, strategise and coordinate across our partners.
Asar also spearheads the Sustainable Mobility Network, bringing together organisations from five Indian states to drive forward climate-responsible and people-centric mobility solutions in our cities.

Impact:
Created an ecosystem conducive to the electrification of the last-mile delivery sector in India through engagement with corporations, governments, and consumers. We have also built a narrative that spotlights the sector's emissions impact and potential to transition. Over three companies have committed to this transition by 2030.
Strengthened the push towards holistic transport and mobility planning by ensuring concrete steps towards formulating and operationalising unified transport authorities in two cities.
Enabled citizen engagement for liveable urban environments with a focus on non-motorised transport infrastructure in Mumbai.
