Strategic Communications

Strategic Communications

Our Strategic Communications programme aims to shift narratives and start conversations around the climate crisis and the opportunity to build a thriving future for all. Effective communication plays a pivotal role in addressing the climate crisis by disseminating accurate information, rallying public support, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.

Through Regional Communications Hubs, we aim to reshape the climate discourse at a regional level, breaking away from global narratives that don’t speak to ordinary people with different cultural backgrounds. These hubs serve as infrastructure for climate literacy and the creation of impactful narratives on climate resilience from the ground up. We currently operate in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, and Tamil in addition to English, responding to state-specific dynamics.

With Simplifying Science, one of Asar’s key programmes, we enhance the understanding of Indian air pollution and climate issues by breaking down research, supporting scientists, and creating concise materials to amplify solutions and enhance journalistic skills in climate reporting.
